Magic bands

For those of you who haven't heard of magic bands that's alright. They are the newish thing here. It is your room key, dining info, snack info, park pass and credit card put on one bracelet. Cast members could not have them for their main gate tickets until the 20th of October and I am happy to say I now have my own magic band. 

I am going toget a speciality one soon to replace this one but I am very excited to have my own band now

 

So I got a call saying pick up the fairy godmother in training costume because we need people here so we will train you. So I am now a merchandise FGIT. So I sell the boutique tranformations. 

I also got word that they are extending my program so I will be living here in florida until at least may 8th of 2015.

Sorry for not posting for so long. My computer is having issues uploading pictures so I have to resort to my phone. I have been working like crazy and all my free time is spent with friends. I also found out that my application to stay with disney for the rest of the school year was accepted, so I will be staying through May now. :)

a week in the life of a cp

 to start with we got out and get food often. This time I went to Cici's pizza with Lillie, I love the garlic bread located on the left, and also ate 8 cinannmon roles.

So I made many magical moments, this one was caught on film and went into the monthly news letter of me playing tea with a little girl. So sweet. This is in Bonjour, a shop in New Fantasyland that sells Beauty and the Beast breakables (i know they put the klutz in a shop filled with dishes, the good news is I have only broken one snow globe so far!) I have also been asked several times if i am the belle from hollywood studios performance of beauty and the beast.

 And in my free time I wander. Here is me at the Florida Mall :)

 what did I actually end up buying you may ask? Well Disney Plush! I might sell this stuff but I love it just the same!

 So Monique and I decided to go to Magic Kingdom early one day..... We were super tired but that made space mountain even more fun :)

 and the carousal was amazing too :p

because of many different family medical factors I have been a bit stressed so I decided to distract myself by crocheting. scarf #1 done. Just in time too, people seem to think that the end of the world is near because the temp is getting to 60 degrees at night. ok they dont actually think that but they do run for every jacket known to man kind. They would never make it in oregon......

 

I got to see the very last night of the Frozen Fun celebrations. Here is a photo of the last set of fireworks.  Applications to extend our programs  come out tomorrow, and I will see in about a month if I get to stay as a CP or if I will transfer into the company instead or move back home.

Pin trading has become my new hobby. You buy cheaper pins an try trading them for ones you like. I have 25 traders that I have started trading for nicer ones. I will post photos in my next photo drop. I am having fun going out at nights and going on dates and working during the day. Work has also become a work out for me . I had to climb over 300 flights of stairs in one day when I was running packages for the resort delivery system ( a very nifty system that allows hotel patrons to ship their purchases to their hotel or the front of the park for no cost so they don't have to carry them around). I am loving magic kingdom. The Halloween parties are a lot of fun and we get to interact and try and make everyone's day special. I really enjoy getting to sit on the floor and play with kids. And the nice part is that we are encouraged to do these types of interactions. The weather has been cray and we have been having monsoon rains every day. I am so glad that I have my rain jacket. Everyone uses ponchos or umbrellas here which I find strange, I miss back home. However I am liking it here more and more 

Lots of different things happening. Halloween parties have kept me very busy at work. I am getting a lot of hours which is nice. does make things like getting housework done and cooking food a bit of a challenge. I have started recording all the magical moments I make in a notebook for later use. One week and six pages are already filled. Shifts are never boring. I had a crazy day of package running and did nearly 300 flights of stairs in a day. I was sore the next day. Other wise my free time is spent hanging out with friends. some how I am getting less sleep now than i did in college. I will post more about my adventures soon. Like once my laundry gets out of the dryer and folded since I really needed clean soon :p

Hello Everyone! I am having a great week of work. Making crazy amount of magical moments, and helping save lives at the same time. Yes, you read that right. I became a primary responder for an emergency in the store I was working in and helped aid a women through a seizure and keeping her calm through her EMS examination. Where ever you are out there, I hope that you are doing better and are enjoying the rest of your time in Disney World before going home for your wedding reception! I was also able to change their reservation so that they could have their wedding dinner when she was feeling better. I love being able to make magic happen. Otherwise I have been selling stuff non stop. I got my stock training completed and am now trained to drive a pargo (like a golf cart) throughout the tunnels, which is extremely fun. I have my last training tomorrow which is sewing training so I can put names on mickey ear hats. I will do a huge photo dump in the next couple of days so everyone can see what has been going on. I am loving it here, and the weather is slowly starting to get cooler.

I make Magical Moments.

One of the things that I love about my new job is that I make what are called magical moments. These are experiences that the guests don't have to pay for and are random, but allow them to be more fully surrounded by the magic. I love making magical moments, and most of the time my magical moments are because of pixie dust which we are given each day to give out to the guests. I am still waiting for photos of my in action, but I have been recorded dozens of times for sprinkling pixie dust, and get action shots taken. I love seeing the wonder in their eyes when they see the pixie dust. I also get dozens of hugs each day for making their day special. I love my job :)

how to spend your 21st birthday in Disney World

Well I am now 21! And I had a great birthday! It was my assessment day for merchentainment, and I passed, so I have my first solo shift tonight! So to celebrate my birthday I started off with work, so I did my hair all pretty like, and went around being called a princess all day. Here is me in my costume with one of my princess hairstyles. 

Then after a 10 hour assessment shift I got off work and opened my gifts :) Thank you Zuzu and Mom and Dad :) Then I went to Epcot with a couple of my friends. I had met a boy on the bus a couple days before that worked the margarita stand in Mexico, and he said to come visit the stand for a birthday drink. Well here I am with my birthday mango and strawberry margarita. 

then we went and saw illuminations.

then we went to Magic Kingdom for dinner and Wishes 

 then we got pixie dusted and went on a few rides before going and getting my birthday bracelet.

I love my new job, today was day one of many of training and I spent my day learning about the stores I will be working and interacting with guests, including pixie dusting guests which is super fun :) Here is a photo of my in my costume. More will come later once I have completed more training.

Long time no post, I know. sorry :) The last week has been a very interesting week to say the least. To start of with, lifeguarding is hard. I knew it would be. I reached my breaking point of stress from guarding this week, and I ended up with a very very very very very bad panic attack that ended up sending me to health services. Because of the fact that I have had anxiety issues in the past, the choice was made that for my health I should no longer be guarding at Walt Disney World. Thankfully, that does not mean that I am done working here, it means that I have a new role that I will be starting next week. I will now be merchandise in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. I am looking forward to this new adventure, and hopefully I do not end up sick from the stress again :) Since I was having major panic issues which included me being sick, I have had the past week off to recover. The first two days I slept. The next three I read books, then I went to class and Magic kingdom with a friend the next day. We discovered our new favorite place to eat, Columbia Harbor house. This was the view out the window as we ate :)

Then we met up with a friend of Monique's and went on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I got a really good score!

And we rode space Mountain twice! It is one of our favorite rides! Always worth the wait!

I will post more when I start working and training again. i am trying to relax for the rest of my time off to try and get back to my normal self again.
