Welcome to _________ Day

So this post is about friday june 13th, written on saturday because I was way to tired last night to write it.  I have now been here for 5 days and they have been a whirlwind. Friday was a day titled, Welcome to Operations. That was a four hour training and meeting that I had to walk the entire time to stay awake. I am still not sure about Eastern Time.  Sometimes I think that my body gets it, and sometimes I know that it doesn't. This was one of those doesn't days because according to my body I was getting up at 2:30 to go to work. During this meeting there was a thunderstorm (I know, surprise surprise) That was right overhead and shaking the building! It was one of the scarier storms that i have been in, but it helped break up the meeting.
After the first meeting I went to the cafeteria to eat my lunch with other Disney Employees. I sat next to my roommate Vada, as well as a girl that goes to school in Oklahoma and a girl from Massachusetts. IT was a fun cafeteria to eat in and everyone was extremely friendly. After lunch the thunder calmed down and I went to my next class of Welcome to Recreation. This was two hours of discussing this very large department that has 9.3 million gallons of treated water in Disney World at this very moment. We discussed so much stuff, and I am going to get my new lifeguarding shoes tomorrow :) After two hours we got registered for the online scheduling service and then started additional training, like child predator awareness and blood borne pathogens. Overall it was a lot of information to shove into my brain! This was also the day that I learned how to use a wall clock to clock in and out. I had never done it before and it is pretty interesting.
Now we get to the fun stuff. The rest of my evening was spent at DownTown Disney.
We went shopping now that we have our disney id. We can get a discount at a lot of different places with our card. So I bought a very cute pair of TOMS. sadly, i can still fit into children's sized shoes, but it means I got the really cute green gold print, so I am actually ok with my small feet :) Then we went to eat at Planet Hollywood.
Here is a photo of Kelsey, Mary-ellen and I and the random employee that decided to jump in it too :p

So this is me and Peta's Hunger Games outfit. This restaurant has movie props from many different movies. Our table was right next to the cousin it costume from adams family.
We got to see rose's dress and jack's outfit from the Titanic.

Here is the boat that sailed through eel infested waters in the princess bride :)
Then after our food, which was actually pretty good we continued shopping. The girls got new wallets and then we went into this awesome soaps type store. This was one of my favorite soaps.
It was a pretty fun place, but very smelly!! i ended up having to leave because I was sneezing :( it is totally worth going back to though! its very cool!
